ROUND 2 - THE BUILD UP

"After a technically heavy first round, round 2 kicks off with the mezzanine floor being relevelled, extended and rebuilt in steel. The new metal frame will not only add extra living space to the upper floor but will also add light to the area beneath. To do this a steel frame was constructed and will support the new glass floor sections. A quick plasterboard ceiling install and the area is now ready for the next stage. Round 3 promises to be a spectacular one, as we start to see the floating staircase with ghost treads installed to the left of the mezzanine. This type of cantilever glass staircase is truly unique and will be the first ghosted l.e.d. glass treads we have installed."

"To get started, RailingLondon went to work with some massive hooks directly to the Mezzanine Floor area. Moving well, they hit it hard and fast, with clean damaging shots connecting deep into the framework of the flooring. As expected the mezzanine floor takes a drop in the first round, after some heavy punishment from the RailingLondon team. RailingLondon claim the first round undeniably "
Because of height issues with the upper windows, this whole floor had to be demolished and will be reconstructed. This will also allow for more floor space upstairs and support the new glass mezannine floor which promises to be spectacular. Next step is to build it all again, with steel supports and at the new height to avoid the front facing windows. Lets see what the next round has in store when RailingLondon start the rebuild...

"Hello fight fans, thanks for joining us for this clash between RailingLondon and David Haye's homes. RailingLondon remain unbeaten over 800 projects, and this match promises to be a great one."
Before they get into it, its time to talk up the match and what we expect to see. The project is spread across two properties owned by David Haye, an apartment and a house. In the apartment, the plan is to create a number of spectacular features. RailingLondon, using specialist glass from Toughglaze will create a floating staircase with ghost treads, which is the first of its kind. It will cantilever glass treads, that will appear to float from the wall. Each step will be custom manufactured in low iron clear glass with a black interlayer in the middle. This means that once the L.E.D. lights shine through the treads, the effect will be jaw dropping.
The staircase will lead to a transparent glass floor mezzanine area, which will need to be extended and re-levelled. It was designed to allow light to pass through the floor into the kitchen area beneath. Finished with a contemporary frameless glass balustrade, it will completely remodel the style and feel of the space. With the help of London Joinery,, David Haye will have custom woodwork in the dressing areas and cupboards leading from the bedrooms. Toughglaze Uk will be providing cutting edge laser printed glass panels for the bathroom areas which will create a very unique effect.

For the second property, David's house, a beautiful floating white tread staircase will be produced, and installed. Again frameless glass will complement the stair treads and landing areas with L.E.D. lighting bringing out all the features.

Boxer David Haye has teamed up with RailingLondon, LondonJoinery and Toughglaze for renovations at 2 of his properties.
We visited him at his gym in Clapham London, where he is training for the upcoming fight against Chisora at Upton Park.
David said "Im very pleased to be using Railing London, the glass staircase design they produced for me is really breathtaking. With glass from Toughglaze UK, and custom woodworks for my wardrobes from London Joinery, I'm confident that I'm in safe hands."

Let The Renovations Begin

Welcome to the David Haye renovations project. Here you can follow David’s home renovations, and witness the spectacular transformations he is about to achieve working with three of the most respected companies in the industry.
The project is spread across two properties owned by David Haye an apartment and a house. In the apartment the plan is to create a number of spectacular features. RailingLondon using specialist glass from Toughglaze will create a ghost tread staircase, which is the first of its kind in the world.
The staircase will lead to a glass floor mezzanine area, which will be finished with a frameless glass balustrade. This is designed to allow light to pass through the floor into the kitchen area beneath.
With the help of London Joinery, David Haye will have custom woodwork in the dressing areas and cupboards leading from the bedrooms. We are currently finalising design specifications and taking measurements to check this space again for further updates every week.
